Tube connector bungs slide inside the tube then you weld them. Most have plenty of room to add plug welds if you like.

How To Measure Roll Cage Or Tube Outside Diameter (OD)
Use a Caliper (Most Accurate)
Steps:
- Open the caliper jaws.
- Place the jaws over the outside of the tube.
- Gently close until both jaws touch the outer walls.
- Read the measurement on the display or scale.
Tape Measure UTVDistribution Hack
The easiest way to measure a tubes outside diameter.(OD)
- 1. Cut a strip of paper long enough to wrap around the tube.
- 2. Wrap the paper strip around the tube and mark where the ends overlap.
- 3. Lay paper flat and measure from the end of the paper to your mark.
- 4. Common tube sizes are 1"-1-1/4"-1-1/2"-1-5/8"-1-3/4"-1-7/8" and 2".
- Please remember we reference all products on the OD of the tube. For example a 1-3/4" Tube connector fits 1-3/4" OD Tube. If you measure and order by the Inner Diameter you will receive the wrong part! Got It?

OEM UTV Roll Cage Tube Diameter Information
Most OEM UTV roll cages are constructed using round steel tubing in standardized outside diameters. While wall thickness and material may vary by manufacturer and model, tube outside diameter (OD) is the critical measurement when selecting roll cage kits, clamps, tube connectors, bolt-on accessories.
Common OEM UTV Roll Cage Perimeter Tube Diameters:
- 1.75 inch OD – The most common aftermarket rollcage size for custom roll cages.
- 1.875 Inch OD
- 2.00 inch OD – Found on select full-size or reinforced OEM cages
Important Notes:
- Tube diameter refers to the outside diameter (OD), not inside diameter
- Wall thickness typically ranges from 0.083” to 0.120”, depending on manufacturer
- Some OEM cages may use mixed tube sizes within the same structure
- Powder coating or paint does not significantly change tube diameter
To ensure proper fitment, always measure your roll cage tube OD with calipers before ordering clamps, tube connectors, or mounting hardware.
